PARTLY IN, PARTLY OUT: OH YES I KNOW

Did you tell your girlfriend you

Wanted to kiss me before you did

Or was it just the sensation

Of my taste that reminds you of her

I don’t quite understand why you kiss me

 Like this…

Like you are partly in, partly out

Oh damn it yes I know

You have a girlfriend

But why are you here kissing me

 Like you are uncertain

Somewhere in between decision

And  guilt, like I’m meant

To share in your regret,

I didn’t promise her commitment

And faithfulness

I’m a fragment of all beautiful women

It’s not my fault that you also kinda like me

Maybe, whatever, that’s not on me

When does the guilt actually creep in

Before you kiss me or

Halfway in between

Now you making me feel guilty too

Your girlfriend doesn’t know me

But I like her because you love her,

And we can’t be envious of love

It’s a God given gift

And since you son of man love her,

All the women are grateful

It doesn’t mean I want you

To love me too,

I love myself enough, that’s why I’m here

Being selfish kissing you

Another son of man will too one day

He is just kissing another girl right now

And I’m okay with that, because I know

When he is ready to kiss me

We will make an hour

Glass cocktail with our tongues

I  do however, enjoy kissing you

Young man

So stop making me feel like a sinner

You don’t have to leave your guilt on my tongue

It tastes like betrayal

And I have sleepover nights with it

And that doesn’t help with being casual

I’m just trying to be cool

And mind you I’m a feminist

When you kiss me like that

It makes me feel like I’m betraying another woman

And I’m in my twenties so

Oh yes that’s kind of allowed

But if you wanna have fun,

I mean this kind of fun that millennials allow

Then Kiss me like you kissing someone you love

If you promise not to do it like that

Like you are partly in, partly out

Then I won’t have to think

Oh yes I know

He has a girlfriend

 I still enjoy kissing you

So if it so happens you are still indecisive

Let me be the one to kiss you then

After all somethings are worth the guilt

And I’m one of those things
